Biodiversity Watch 2007

Sunday, May 20th to Sunday May 26th is Irish National Biodiversity Week. The Heritage Council of Ireland has set up a mapping system

called Biodiversity Watch to allow users to plot onto a map of their own locality the various plants and animals they encounter. The Biodiversity Watch project will extend beyond the Irish National Biodiversity Week dates. The project is habitat based, so people out for a walk in a woodland can select the woodland habitat on the web site, select the species they found, and then plot it on to the map.
