Darwin Year 2009
Charles Darwin worked out the mechanism by which life evolved. This mechanism he called 'natural selection'. One hundred and fifty years ago (1859) he explained this
mechanism in the now famous book 'On the Origin of Species by Natural Selection'. As a young man in his 20s he traveled the world and visited the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean. The video below follows the path that he probably took when he disembarked from his ship.
